Services

Design, development, publishing and maintenance for Android applications — handled end to end by one small team.

Android App Development

We build native Android applications in Kotlin and Java — from a focused single-purpose utility to a multi-module product with a backend, offline storage and push notifications. Every build targets a current API level, runs on a realistic spread of devices and Android versions, and ships through a repeatable release pipeline rather than a laptop.

What is included

  • Native Kotlin and Java development against current Android API levels, with Jetpack libraries and Material Design components.
  • Backend and third-party integration — REST APIs, Firebase services, offline caching, background sync and push notifications.
  • Testing on real hardware across screen sizes and Android versions, plus a signed, reproducible release build.

UI/UX Design

Design comes before development, not alongside it. We map the journeys a person actually takes through the app, wireframe them, then build a full visual system — colour, type, spacing, icons and states. You get a clickable prototype to try before we write production code, which is when changes are cheapest.

What is included

  • User flows and low-fidelity wireframes for every screen, reviewed with you before visual design starts.
  • A complete visual system following Material Design — components, typography, colour, iconography and empty, loading and error states.
  • An interactive prototype you can tap through on your own phone, plus the store icon and screenshot set for the listing.

App Maintenance & Support

An Android app is never finished. The OS updates, Google raises the minimum target API level, libraries get security patches and devices change shape. We keep published apps current, watch crash reports, and fix what real users hit — so a listing does not quietly break or get pulled for being out of date.

What is included

  • Crash and ANR monitoring with prioritised fixes, so problems are found before reviews report them.
  • Android OS, SDK and dependency upgrades, including the annual Google Play target API level requirement.
  • Performance and size work — startup time, memory, battery and APK or App Bundle footprint — plus scheduled feature releases.

Play Store Publishing & Compliance

Most rejections we see have nothing to do with code. They come from an incomplete Data safety form, a privacy policy that does not match what the app actually collects, or a deletion page that is unreachable. We handle the whole submission — Console configuration, declarations, policy pages and the back-and-forth with review.

What is included

  • Play Console setup: app signing, release tracks, store listing copy, graphics and content rating questionnaire.
  • Data safety declarations written to match the app's real behaviour, plus hosted privacy, terms and account-deletion pages at permanent URLs.
  • Submission, review response handling and staged rollout, followed by monitoring of policy notices and Console alerts.

Not sure which of these you need?

Most projects that come to us are somewhere between “I have an idea” and “I have an app that needs fixing”. Either is fine. Send a short description of where you are and what you want to end up with, and we will tell you which parts of the above actually apply — including the parts you can skip.
